Reading the Pulse score

One number. Composed of visit frequency delta and spend delta vs a rolling baseline. Here's what each zone means and what to do about it.

What Pulse is

A 0-100 score updated nightly. 50 is steady state. Above 50, your identified-guest base is accelerating. Below 50, it is decelerating. It weights frequency and spend equally.

Zones and what to do

70+: don't intervene. Whatever you're doing is working. Document it.

40-70: normal. Use this window for campaign experiments.

Below 40: something broke. Check identity capture rate first (is the team still asking?), then check lapsed-guest count (are you missing the re-engagement window?).

What Pulse is not

It is not revenue. Revenue is in the POS. Pulse is the leading indicator, it moves 2-4 weeks before same-store sales moves. That lead time is the whole point.
